Pensoy's Grill has grEAT Food

Pensoy's  Grill finally opened this month owned by  Thomas Bebot Haw.  They have totally different menu and sporty concept for  the restaurant. It's the only place in General Santos City  who serves Crocodile and Ostrich meat. This Ostrich meat  comes from Cagayan de Oro and has  low cholesterol. But they have also other  variety of  food to choose from.

The music is still there,  BTB (Buta, Taba and Bayot) group band and Kinetic  band from Monday to Saturday and  videoke room - the concept is inside the container van with surplus engine atmosphere  at  500.00 consumable hourly rate.

Pensoy's Grill  is totally different among the other restaurant here in Gensan because they also serve lechon de leche  but you have to order it  4 hours  earlier for them to prepare it, crocodile meat, bicol express (purely meat), different variety of  Ostrich meat preparations , native chicken and a lot more. They also offer short orders.  It is located at:

NCCC Compound (known for Bigshot)
National Highway, General Santos City
Philippines
Contact number : +63 922 803 1961
Opens from Monday to Saturday 3 p.m. to 12 midnight

Here are the succulent  food that I've  tried at very affordable price and highly recommended if you visit the restaurant:

EAT's the food, EAT's the music, EAT's the place... EAT's now serving grEAT food.

2 cups grated carrots
2 cups sifted All Purpose Flour
1 cup refined sugar

Native Chicken BBQ at Mauring's Kamayan

Have you tried Native Chicken BBQ? Well, I just did and it was my first time at Maurings Kamayan, I find it really good. The meat was full-flavored. Mr. Romeo D. Penato owned the business here in gensan but his father runs the business since 1950's and the secret processed was passed on to them. They are the only one in Gensan selling native chicken bbq. Natives chicken comes from Isulan and delivered in gensan. It's difficult to find native chicken in large cities, but in the provincial countryside they are still very common. Maurings Kamayan name comes from his father "Mauricio".

Native chicken has never given any growth hormone so it's organic, since it takes time for the chicken to mature it cost little more than broiler type chicken. The meat is a little bit tough and extra lean. It's difinitely more flavorful.

For Mauring's Native Chicken it cost you Php 60.00 and for the rice its Php 8.00.

Euro Kitchen Buy one Take One Meals

A friend of mine was craving for steak. We accidentally passed by at Euro Kitchen a night before we had our lunch there. We saw on the left side of the door the list of the menu. We were amazed when we found out that they served daily buy one take one meals specially T-bone steak around 10:00 a.m until 1:00 p.m. only. So we decided to have our lunch on the next day at Euro Kitchen.

We had scrumptious T-bone steak for lunch and for my juice I got herb lemon, its very refreshing and taste good. The serving sizes are big and for the value money, really worth it. Sorry to say that I don't have any idea until when the promo end.

The area is small and very cozy to dine. Definitely I'm going back there. The service and food was good.

Here's the list for the buy one take one meals. What are you waiting for?

Angry Bird gumpaste

Angry Bird Birthday Cake was the order of my brother close friend who's niece celebrating the 5th birthday. This is my very first Angry Bird birthday cake. For the first timer like me to make this cake, the outcome wasn't bad at all. For the flavor of the cake I used mocha as their request.

Arroz Caldo is a type of congee . This is one of my comfort food which I had for lunch at Dencio's Restaurant for only Php 30.00 with half egg.  Arroz Caldo is also one of the favorite food of those who want to sober-up. I include here a recipe if you feel like cooking this one in your home.

1 kilo chicken; cut in small pieces
1 cup uncooked malagkit or plain rice or combination
1 small onion; chopped
4 cloves garlic; chopped
odFish sauce
Cooking oil
Salt to taste (optional)
Chicken bouillon cubes (optional)
1 tablespoon minced fried garlic (for garnishing)

Cooking Instructions:

In a casserole, sauté garlic, onion, and ginger in oil.  Add chicken and stir fry with fish sauce until light browned. Drain any remaining oil and then add rice. Add enough water and bring to boil. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until chicken is tender and rice is done (add hot water if necessary). Season with fish sauce according to taste.  Serve hot in a bowl.
